Marketsmith Creates Modernized “Circuit Board” Logo for NJ Tech Council

Marketsmith’s Creative Content Services, Brushfire, created a new logo for the New Jersey Technological Council (NJTC), a company that helps businesses in the industry prosper by providing financial or networking support.

NJTC prides itself on helping businesses grow in the technological, innovation, and entrepreneurship ecosystems. However, as innovative as it might be, the organization’s branding needed some support. And that’s where we came in. Led by Executive Creative Director Larry Durst and Art Director Vince Sie, along with the rest of our Creative team, Brushfire revamped the brand logo to encompass some of the core values of the council:  technology, support, and innovation.

“We knew from the initial brief that we’d have to take a novel approach to branding to stand out in the world of tech. The final design, with just a few simple shapes, immediately communicates the future-thinking nature of the organization. It was terrific to have such an open, encouraging, and collaborative client as our partner,” said Larry Durst.

The Brushfire creative team put together a new look for NJTC with this “Circuit Board” logo, with a new tagline that summarizes NJTC’s mission: “The Future Starts Here.” We made the shape of the logo a visual play on technology as it encompasses the shape of a circuit board, while also forming a stylized N and J. Both sides of the “circuit” are left open to display the connections that NJTC creates for the industry in the region – connections with each other, and with education, research, universities, etc. Not only does the unique angle of the icon represent an unlimited future as it points upward, but the entire image balances on the middle of the tagline, calling attention to the words of the brand.

Overall, this new marque reflects a more adventurous and innovative approach to the NJ Tech Council’s branding that inherently speaks to the forward thinking and innovation that the Council brings to industry in the state and region. We were happy to be able to push NJTC one step closer to their branding/marketing goals!
